The Wright Brothers' reproduction 1903 Flyer is temporarily on display.

Visitors at the North Carolina Museum of History in Raleigh can now view the Wright Brothers’ reproduction 1903 Flyer in the museum’s lobby, thanks to a generous donation from the First Flight Foundation. The foundation provided funds to move and temporarily install the Flyer at the museum while the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, undergoes renovations through summer 2018.

The Flyer joins the reproduction 1911 Wright Glider, also hanging in the lobby. Visitors can learn more about the Wright Brothers and their legendary flights in the museum’s exhibit “The Story of North Carolina.”
