Wake Schools Earn Health Awards

Fyi Education 2015 Award Winners

Advocates for Health in Action recognized 14 Wake County schools April 16 for their efforts to support healthy environments and behaviors for students and staff. Seven schools earned the Brains and Bodies Award, and nine earned the Wellness Star, with two schools winning both awards.

Brains and Bodies Award winners include Centennial Campus Middle School and Brentwood, Brier Creek, Davis Drive, Farmington Woods, Penny Road and Underwood elementary schools. Recipients of the Wellness Star awards, which recognize efforts that support walking and biking to school, include Martin Middle School; The Exploris School; and Davis Drive, Farmington Woods, Highcroft Drive, Hunter, Olive Chapel, Rolesville and Swift Creek elementary schools.
