Valentine's Day Events For Kids and Families in Raleigh, Durham & Apex

With Valentine's Day approaching rapidly, Triangle venues are planning lots of creative ways to celebrate love with Valentine-themed events for kids throughout the month of February.

Dress to impress and join a Valentine's Day party featuring healthy treats, proper Victorian etiquette and Valentine crafts in Raleigh. Head to the Contemporary Art Museum in Raleigh to tour Valentine-inspired projects.

In Cary or Durham, enjoy a Valentine story time or craft with your kids. Or show your love for birds; in Chapel Hill and Apex, kids will be making treats for their feathered friends. If your kids are into bugs, visit Raleigh to hear a story about bugs and make a take home buggy craft.

And if you like jazz, enjoy the 8th Annual Valentine's Day Jazz Concert featuring the Duke, NCCU and UNC-CH jazz ensembles. Here's the line-up of Valentine-themed fun to date:

Sunday, Feb. 5

The Art Market at Vega Metals, a Saturday morning outdoor market in Durham, will feature a Valentine's event, "One HeArt Day," from 10 a.m.-noon to celebrate art, love, and creativity. Board the  Valentine Trolley at Mordecai Historic Park, in Raleigh at noon and 1 p.m.  Take your sweetheart on the Valentine Trolley and enjoy a romantic themed tour through downtown Raleigh.
