The Salvation Army of Wake County to Hold Coat Giveaway

Warm weather temps are still lingering in the Triangle, but cold weather is just around the corner. The Salvation Army of Wake County will hold its annual Winter Coat Giveaway this Saturday, Oct. 14, 10 a.m.-noon at The Salvation Army of Wake County headquarters,1863 Capital Blvd., Raleigh.

For more than 25 years now, The Salvation Army of Wake County has distributed coats to help families prepare for the cold weather. Saturday is the first of three coat distributions that will take place in Wake County over the next two months.

Parents and any adult in the household needs to provide a government-issued photo ID and proof that they are a Wake County Resident and the child needs a formal document with both the parent(s) and child’s name on it (such as a birth certificate, shot records, OR Medicaid card).
