Raleigh Girl Scouts help Haven House Families

Fyi Community Girl Scouts

Nine Raleigh fourth- and fifth-grade Girl Scouts in Troop 326 recently earned their Bronze award by organizing donation drives to collect supplies for Haven House Services, a nonprofit refuge for at-risk youth and their families in Wake County.

The girls published flyers, made announcements and set up collection bins for the donation drives, which were held at Leesville Road Elementary and Sycamore Creek Elementary schools. They collected more than 700 food and household items for Haven House Services and brought lunch to more than 30 volunteers working there that day. The Bronze award is the highest possible achievement for Juniors and the third highest award for Girl Scouts overall.
