Carving Pumpkins With Goats

Starting Sept. 29, you can schedule a visit on the farm to carve pumpkins alongside some adorable goats. $13.50-$20/person and free for ages 3 and younger; tickets must be purchased in advance online. Take the family to enjoy goats and other farm animals, a corn maze, pumpkin-carving, a hayride, face painting and more.

Gross Farms Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch

Open Sept. 18-Nov. 7. Enjoy a pumpkin patch, 10-acre corn maze, Farm Scene Investigation activity, hayrides, pumpkin patch and more. Watch the site to see this year’s rates.

The Family Farm on Avent Ferry 
1719 Avent Ferry Rd., Holly Springs
Open for mums and pumpkins on Saturday, Sept. 26. Monday-Friday, 4-6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday, 1-6 p.m. Shop specialty pumpkins, gourds and more. Take advantage of a vintage John Deere tractor with pumpkins on site for family photographs.

Huckleberry Trail Farm 
143 Pleasant Hill Church Rd., Siler City
Open Sept. 25-Oct. 31; Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sunday, 1-6 p.m. “One admission price gives you access to all the fun. We sell our pumpkins, fall decorations, refreshments and merchandise separately to keep our admission prices low. We have a corn maze, a tractor-drawn hayride (for transportation down to the pumpkin patch), a real pumpkin patch (cut your own pumpkin right off the vine!), cotton patch, and a mini Field of Dreams.” General admission is $10 for ages 12 and older, $8 for ages 3-11. 

Naylor Family Farm and Giant Corn Maze 
6016 U.S. 401 N., Fuquay-Varina
The farm is open Sept. 18-Nov. 7. Admission is $20 for ages 3 and older. Discover 10-acre Giant Corn Maze, a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, a kids play area. Hours vary by month.

Page Farms 
6100 Mt. Herman Rd., Raleigh
Opening Sept. 25, Thursday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., the site has a corn Maze, hayrides, a “Cow Train,” and more.  Admission is $15 for ages 3 and older.

Phillips Farms of Chatham Pumpkin Patch 
1282 Hanks Chapel Rd., Pittsboro
This farm is open. Admission is $12 per person, with hours of Tuesday-Wednesday, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday, 3 p.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, 9:30 a.m.-1:3- p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m.-6 p.m. Expect a fall market, a haunted farm (for an extra fee), and more activities.

Pumpkin Patch at Camp Chestnut Ridge 
2902 Mt. Willing Rd., Efland
Open Saturdays in October, admission is $7 per person. Pumpkins, hay rides, animals, games, and more are included, with 40 people allowed per two-hour time slot. (Kids 2 and under get in free.)

Tractor’s Corn Maze

Open Sep. 18-Oct. 31; Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m-5 p.m. Admission is $10 per person (cash only). Free for ages 2 and younger. Check out a corn maze and pumpkin patch at the site. (A night maze is also available.)

Vollmer Farm “Back 40” Country Playground 
677 N.C. Hwy. 98 E., Bunn
“Entry Fee includes: Back-Forty Playground, Farm Animals, Hayride, Free Pumpkin, & one fun activity!” Hours vary at this farm, which opens Sept. 18. Admission is $12 for ages 3 and older. See farm animals and purchase fall produce.
