Carving Pumpkins With Goats

Starting Oct. 7, you can schedule a visit on the farm to carve pumpkins alongside some adorable goats. $13.50-$20/person and free for ages 3 and younger; tickets must be purchased in advance online. Take the family to enjoy goats and other farm animals, a corn maze, pumpkin-carving, a hayride, face painting and more. The farm is enforcing social distancing and maintaining time slots to keep crowds manageable.

The Family Farm on Avent Ferry

Open for mums and pumpkins on Saturday, Sept. 26. Monday-Friday, 4-6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday, 1-6 p.m. Shop specialty pumpkins, gourds and more. Take advantage of a vintage John Deere tractor with pumpkins on site for family photographs.
Huckleberry Trail Farm
143 Pleasant Hill Church Rd., Siler City
Open Sept. 26-Oct. 31; Thursday-Friday by appointment only for groups; Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sunday, 1-6 p.m. Ticket sales end one hour before closing. General admission is $10 for ages 12 and older, $8 for ages 3-11. Discover hayrides, a giant corn maze, a pumpkin patch and farmyard games.
Ken’s Korny Corn Maze
3175 Benson Rd., Garner
Opening day is Friday, Sept. 25, this year. Enjoy a 6-acre corn maze, pumpkins, and more. The Harvested Farm Nightmares event is being postponed until 2021.
507 Woodland Church Rd., Wake Forest
Medlin Farm opens on Sept. 26, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. They won’t be doing the hayride or site gem mining this year, but the pumpkins are coming.
Naylor Family Farm and Giant Corn Maze
6016 U.S. 401 N., Fuquay-Varina
The farm is open. Admission is $18 for ages 3 and older. Discover 10-acre Giant Corn Maze, a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, a kids play area. Check out the farm’s COVID restrictions on its site.

Opening Sept. 25, Thursday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., the site has a corn Maze, hayrides, a “Cow Train,” and more. Admission is $15 for ages 3 and older.
Phillips Farms of Chatham Pumpkin Patch
1282 Hanks Chapel Rd., Pittsboro
This farm is open. Admission is $12 per person, with hours of Tuesday-Wednesday, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday, 3 p.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, 9:30 a.m.-1:3- p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m.-6 p.m. Expect a fall market, a haunted farm (for an extra fee), and more activities, with social distancing.
Pumpkin Patch at Camp Chestnut Ridge

Open Saturdays in October, admission is $7 per person. Pumpkins, hay rides, animals, games, and more are included, with 40 people allowed per two-hour time slot. (Kids 2 and under get in free.)
