The Honey & Art Fair is right around the corner on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 2-7pm. To say nothing of this first time annual event would “bee” a travesty.  Not only is this its first appearance, but also its first honey harvest. Members of the Arts Ministry and the West Raleigh Presbyterian Church (WRPC) invite the public to bask in the beauty of their Beeloved Community Garden and moreover taste the fruits (honey) of their labors. They promise the experience will be “sweet” fun for everyone. The fair is a free family-friendly event, but remember to bring your mask.

What’s all the buzz? The day will be packed with bee related activities, crafts, and tastings. In addition, live music, art sales, food, and much more are scheduled. Let’s break down what’s happening at each of the four nearby locations:

Continue to connect with your environment by volunteering in the Beeloved Community Garden every Saturday from 8-11am. Bring a pair of gloves and help plant, weed, and mulch. Worried about your experience or age? No experience needed, and all ages and ability levels are welcome to pitch in. While you work among the flowers you may witness a native butterfly or two.
