In the mood for cool free family fun? Head to the Polar Ice House’s Cary location at 1410 Buck Jones Rd from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 16, for free ice skating, free lessons, food and games during the rink’s open house.

Polar Ice House instructors will be there to help novice skaters and provide mini lessons. A DJ from All Around Raleigh will keep the music flowing, and you’ll also find face painting, raffles with prizes, mascot appearances, and a shoot-to-win contest with a $500 cash grand prize.

While supplies last, local businesses, including Polar Ice House’s concession, Wild Wing Café, Red Robin, Moe’s Southwest Grill and Ice Cream Boss, will be offering free foods. While you’re eating, pick up raffle tickets for door prizes and socialize with Polar Ice House’s mascot, Icey.
