This activity allows your child the opportunity to be a part of the garden plan. Be sure to discuss the amount of room each plant needs to grow. Some plants will spread far on vines (cucumber) and some need support to grow high (beans). This works best with a parent or adult who had some knowledge of gardening.

Supplies

Large Sheet of Paper or Poster Board
Ruler
Pencil
Black Marker
Crayons or Colored Pencils

Directions

Provide your child with an outline of the garden plot to scale. Draw the lines to mark the feet off inside the plot. Determine plants for the garden and make a key. Add plants to plot. Color.
