The Museum of Life and Science is pleased to announce an expansion of its visitation hours. Starting Sunday, June 4, and running through Labor Day, the 84-acre science park and indoor science center will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Museum members can enjoy early access each day beginning at 9 a.m.

This new expansion includes additional time for exploration on Sunday mornings. Previously open only from noon to 5 p.m., the museum's new hours of operation include Sunday visitation from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with an early access hour for museum members starting at 9 a.m.

"We are fortunate that our museum includes an expansive outdoor campus. From exploring a treehouse village to observing red wolves, black bears and lemurs there is truly something for everyone here," says Julie Rigby, vice president for external relations. "Expanding our hours to include additional Sunday visitation time has long been a popular request. We are delighted to be making this change during a summer full of so much activity."

A litter of critically endangered red wolf pups, born April 28, is expected to make their public debut in the museum's Explore the Wild wolf habitat this June. Guests will have the opportunity to witness their progress and growth all summer long with the aid of a den camera and viewing platform.

The museum's new summer visitation hours running Memorial Day through Labor Day are Sunday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., with early admission at 9 a.m. for museum members. Regular season visitation hours extending Labor Day through Memorial Day are Tuesday-Sunday, 10a.m.-5 p.m., with early admission at 9 a.m. for museum members. The museum will be closed on Mondays during this period. Exceptions to the closed Monday schedule do occur; guests planning a visit during this time are encouraged to check the museum's website before arriving.

Museum admission is $18 for adults, $16 for seniors and $13 for children; children ages 2 and younger are free. Discounted group rates are available with preregistration. For more information, please visit the museum's website at or call 919-220-5429.
