Is your little superhero faster than a speeding bullet?

Now he has an opportunity to find out!

On Nov. 17, GO FAR and the Greensboro Kiwanis Club will sponsor the Superhero 10K in High Point. In addition to the 10K, a 5K and fun run will take place the same morning. The race is presented by Cone Health MedCenter High Point.

All the run/walk events will take place at ITT College/Aetna (4050 Piedmont Parkway in High Point). Runners are encouraged to dress the part by donning capes and masks for the race. Prizes will be awarded to the best male and female superhero costumes. The race starts at 7:30 a.m.

Proceeds from the Superhero 10K will help GO FAR to buy running shoes for children who are in need and participating in the program. GO FAR is a nonprofit organization helping children to become active and combat childhood obesity.

Online registration closes at midnight Nov. 13, but registration is also available Nov. 15 at Off�n Running, 5870 Samet Drive No. 107 in High Point. Go to to register for the race and for more information.
