Take advantage of the great weather this weekend by getting out and about. Enjoy a parents’ night out at Lyon Park in Durham, a Kite Festival at Bond Park in Cary, sledding (yes, sledding!) at Cary’s Waverly Place and a learning activity about salamanders at Harris Lake County Park in New Hill.

Parents’ Night Out

Parents can enjoy a night out on the town while the kiddos spend the evening at the Community Family Life & Recreation Center at Lyon Park in Durham. Drop your child ages 5-12 at the center's auditorium from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and they’ll have a blast doing arts and crafts activities, playing sports and games, eating a snack and watching movies — all in a safe, caring and fun environment. This night out costs $3 per Durham resident and $8 per nonresident. Preregister here while spaces are available.
