Monday, Jan. 18
It’s MLK Day! Honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at events in and around the Triangle. Check our full roundup of Triangle MLK Events for details. Also, in honor of MLK Day on Monday, all national parks will be fee-free.

 

Tuesday, Jan. 19
View images of the Magna Carta, precious manuscripts and documents from the Library of Congress's rare book collections on 12 banners at this free exhibit that opens Jan. 19 in the rotunda of the State Capitol in downtown Raleigh. The Magna Carta is the document that laid the groundwork for individual rights in Anglo-American legal systems. The exhibit, curated by The Library of Congress, runs through Jan. 30. Wednesday, Jan, 20, 6:30-8 p.m.
Join the Lupus Foundation of America, North Carolina Chapter in this kickoff rally for the 8th Annual Walk to End Lupus Now: Raleigh. Learn more.

Thursday, Jan. 21

Friday and Saturday (Jan. 22-23) UPDATE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER
Take kids ages 5 and older tubing (weather permitting) Jan. 22, 4:45-9 p.m., and Jan. 23, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. at Cary’s Winter Wonderland at Bond Park. Participants must preregister by Jan. 21. Register now before tubing slots fill up.

Friday, Jan. 22
Shop for gently used clothing, toys, equipment and more at the Kids Exchange Consignment Sale, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh.
