The AJ Fletcher Foundation, a charitable foundation that supports nonprofits working to improve the lives and well-being of North Carolinians, has awarded a $35,000 grant to Wake Education Partnership.

Founded in 1983, WakeEd Partnership brings together business and community leaders in support of students and educators in Wake County Public School System, which is the state’s largest public school system. WakeEd Partnership has invested more than $1 million in teacher innovation grants and offers guidance on topics such as school budgets, teacher pay and school grading.

The funding makes AJ Fletcher Foundation a “cornerstone investor of WakeEd,” WakeEd Partnership leaders said in a recent press release.
