FIT4MOM Offers Free Classes in Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill
It’s cold out, and if you are like me, you may have already lapsed in your resolution to get more exercise in 2016. Here’s a fitness deal to help restart your engines, and you can take your little one along with you. FIT4MOM, a national fitness program, is offering free Stroller Strides & Stroller Barre classes in Raleigh, Durham, Cary and Chapel Hill Jan. 18-23.
FIT4MOM provides pre- and postnatal fitness classes that meet in public and private spaces around the Triangle. Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre are two of the programs offered to parents with a stroller-aged child, allowing them to exercise and socialize.
“Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre provide opportunities for mom and kids to bond and for Mom to role model the importance and fun of physical fitness to their little ones,” says Missy Currin, owner and instructor at FIT4MOM in Midtown Raleigh. “Mom gets fit and the kids are entertained by interactive songs and finger play throughout class. It's a winning combination for the whole family and a fun alternative to traditional gym memberships/nursery situations. Moms and kids interact with each other in a way that builds community and lifelong friendships.”
Although the programs are designed for mothers, fathers are welcome, too, she says. The free offer is not valid to those with an active Stroller Strides/Stroller Barre membership or class pass. Browse the schedule of free classes.
