Farmers Fall Festival returns this year in downtown Cary with an event on Saturday, September 25, on West Chatham Street between Harrison and Academy streets. This year’s festival, benefiting Cary Downtown Farmers Market, includes craft vendors, a beer garden, a food truck area, a Children’s Village, and live performances. (Performers include Mysti Mayham’s Band and SolarBear.)

The event runs 9 a.m.-3 p.m., with the schedule including the Once in a Blue Moon Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest between musical acts at noon. The beer garden is found at the historic Ivey-Ellington House, and the zone for kids is located near Fidelity Plaza. “And we hear that Santa will pay Cary a visit while on his vacation!” organizers say.
