Family Fun Takes Off at 4 Festivals in Raleigh, Durham

Festival for the Eno

July 2 and 4 – West Point on the Eno, 5101 N. Roxboro Rd., Durham. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. each day. $18/day pass, $30/two-day pass, $11/child. Celebrate the Eno River with live music, a juried craft show, interactive arts, environmental demonstrations, opportunities to paddle on the river and a variety of local food. Proceeds benefit the Eno River Association.


July 2-3 – North Carolina State Fairgrounds, Kerr Scott Building, 1025 Blue Ridge Rd., Raleigh. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. July 2; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. July 3. $12 ages 13 and older, $5 ages 5-12. See exotic animals and reptiles in this annual festival. Purchase tickets online.

Family Fun Day

July 3 – Catch The Fire Worship Center, 2304 Page Rd., Durham. 4-8 p.m. Free. Take the family for food, music, games and fun.

Pork, Pickles and Peanuts

July 9 – Duke Homestead, 2828 Duke Homestead Rd., Durham. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Free. Celebrate North Carolina’s food history and heritage with a barbecue cook-off, juried pie competition, cooking demonstrations, and local arts and crafts vendors.
