Vern Yip of "Trading Spaces" headlines this year's show
For the 33rd year, the Southern Women’s Show returns to Raleigh April 13-15 at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds — and we've got 5 MORE pairs of tickets to give away. We gave away 5 pairs of tickets the week of March 5-9, and we're excited to give 10 pairs of tickets away for this week, March 19-23!
This year's show features TLC and HGTV star Vern Yip of "Trading Spaces," who will appear at the show April 14 at 1:30 p.m. Fans will have the chance to ask Yip about the show's reboot, which premieres just a week before the Southern Women's Show in Raleigh. Yip will also take pictures with fans and share tips with them on how to enhance their home design.
Yip shot to fame in TLC’s original "Trading Spaces," an early 2000s hit show featuring two neighbors redecorating a room in each other’s homes. His design expertise has since been called upon in HGTV’s 'Design Star,' where he served as a judge and mentor to interior design hopefuls. He then went on to host four seasons of HGTV’s "Deserving Design," during which Yip himself transformed homes for inspirational families.
Fans can purchase a VIP experience with Yip prior to his stage performance for $45, which includes one show ticket, a Southern Women’s Show bag, a copy of Yip's book, a Vern Yip pillow, a private meet-and-greet with a photo opportunity, and a reserved seat during a Q&A session he will host.
In addition to Yip, attendees can also meet Savannah Chrisley from "Chrisley Knows Best," USA Network’s reality TV show featuring the family of Georgia real estate mogul Todd Chrisley. She will appear at the Southern Women’s Show Sunday, April 15, in the afternoon for an audience Q&A and to take photos with fans. VIP experience tickets are also available for $35, which include one show ticket, one Southern Women’s Show bag, a private meet-and-greet with photo opportunity and a reserved seat during her Q&A.
“Both Vern and Savannah are relatable and funny celebrities with so much to share with the ladies of the Triangle area,” says Katie Cronin, show manager of Southern Women’s Show. “We’re thrilled to host them at the Southern Women’s Show this April, along with so many other things for women to do and see. There’s something for everyone, with spring fashion, princess sing-a-longs, cooking demos, wine and so many deals, giveaways and freebies all weekend long. It’s the annual event not to miss!”
Attendees at this year's show will enjoy two fashion shows starring Wake County Firefighters and an adorable Fido Fashion Show held daily, featuring adoptable dogs from Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue. The Got To Be NC Pavilion will feature delicious food from the Tar Heel state and there will be cooking demonstrations on the Food Lion Kitchen Stage, makeovers in the Belk beauty pavilion, health and wellness screenings, and shopping opportunities featuring the latest in spring and summer fashion from some of the state and country’s top brands.
