Enjoy Mardi Gras in Wake Forest
Don your masks and beads and head to the first Mardi Gras Street Festival in downtown Wake Forest Feb. 9, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. This family-friendly event features face painting, a children’s parade, inflatables, games, strolling entertainers and more.
Kids 12 and younger can take part in a king and queen costume contest at noon before the children’s parade at 1 p.m., which will be led by a local high school jazz band. Children may walk, roller skate, ride a bike or be pulled in a wagon during the procession.
