Combs Elementary Students Volunteer to Fight Hunger

O Comm Combsfood4

Students, parents and teachers at Combs Elementary School in Raleigh made 10,000 meals Feb. 11 in the school cafeteria for Stop Hunger Now, an international hunger relief organization based in Raleigh.

Students and families raised money for the event by collecting donations at the school’s Inaugural Ball and selling items from the school’s Kindergarten Holiday Workshop and Carpool Blitz. The event was carried out in memory of Stephen Covey, whose leadership habits serve as the basis for the school’s leadership magnet theme.
