North Carolinians for Home Education will hold its annual statewide conference for home-schooling families May 25-27 in Winston-Salem. The “Thrive! 2017” conference will feature speakers and parent workshops, a vendors’ expo, activities for children and teens, and a talent showcase. The event will also include special gatherings for military, special needs and single-parent families, a statewide graduation ceremony and a college fair. The weekend is structured to allow families to make connections with other home-school families in their region and across the state.

According to NCHE Events Director Debbie Mason, Thrive! is one of the largest home-school conferences in the country.

“Our goals are to equip, encourage and connect home-schoolers,” she says. “Whether parents are new to home schooling, considering it or have been home schooling for years, there is something for everyone.”
