Get Wild! National Wildlife Day – Sept. 4 HAS BEEN CANCELED
Celebrate National Wildlife Day at Horton Grove Nature Preserve in Bahama, 10 a.m.-noon. See turtle shells, feathers and antlers up close. Take a family hike through the woods and grasslands to learn about deer, rabbits, hawks and other wildlife. For ages 4 and older with family. K-Fest – Sept. 10
The inaugural K-Fest (Knightdale Kids Education Festival) takes place at Knightdale Station Park Amphitheater, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Designed to connect youth with local nonprofits, educational opportunities and cultural arts partners, the event offers a full day of fun. Enjoy a student talent showcase, local performers, bookmobile and reading corner, food trucks, inflatables, a farmers market and more. Admission is free. knightdalenc.gov.
Family Day at the Nasher – Sept. 25
Celebrate Southern creativity at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University, noon-4 p.m. Create art inspired by the exhibit, “Southern Accent: Seeking the American South in Contemporary Art,” which explores the South’s profound influence on American culture.
