2014 Schedule of Family Holiday Movies on TV, Cable

This week, I caught A Charlie Brown Christmas—probably my favorite holiday film—playing on ABC, and it got me thinking about what other holiday movies the cable networks will be showing in the next few weeks. While Netflix and Redbox continue to be go-tos for at-home moviegoers, their holiday movie selection is varied and often doesn’t include some of the classics that cable television is so fond of replaying, like Rudolph’s Shiny New Year and Frosty Returns. Children will also be excited to see some of their favorite movie characters—Buddy the Elf, for instance—come to life again in new holiday specials. Charlie Brown lovers can celebrate too—the Christmas classic, celebrating its 50th year, will air again mid-month.
