Eat Smart, Move More North Carolina

Promotes increased opportunities for healthy eating and physical activity wherever people live, learn, earn, play and pray in our state. Supports local health departments in North Carolina to develop community-based interventions.

North Carolina Office of the Governor's Toll-Free and Frequently Called Numbers

Includes in its alphabetical listing, phone numbers of government offices that help families, such as Child Development (to report Abuse and Neglect) and Children's Special Health Services (EHNR).

Parenting Publications of America - PPA

Looking for family-friendly resources in Charlotte or in the Piedmont area? The PPA is a group of regional parenting magazines across the country. Carolina Parent and sister publications Piedmont Parent and Charlotte Parent are active members of PPA.

A free community in Durham, Wake and Eastern Orange counties that offers local moms a simple way to connect for friendship, support and fun. Members meet on private discussion forums to share information and the network offers face-to-face monthly events for members, their children and their families.
