Announcing the Top Family-Friendly Companies of 2012
While challenging, achieving work-life balance isn't impossible. Many N.C. companies offer flexibility, generous benefits, innovative programs and other perks to make it easier for parents to juggle the demands of work and family. For 14 years, Carolina Parenting, which owns Carolina Parent, Charlotte Parent and Piedmont Parent, has highlighted companies that support and encourage working parents in North Carolina.
We are pleased to introduce the 2012 N.C. Family-Friendly 50. These companies are exemplary in creating a family-friendly work culture and should be applauded for these efforts. Honored companies were nominated by the deadline and provided information about benefits and programs via surveys and supporting testimonials. Senior associate directors from the undergraduate and graduate business programs at UNC Kenan-Flager Business School in Chapel Hill reviewed this information, and the final list of honorees was determined in partnership with the business school.
