August 9, 2012 2:36 pm
This weekend promises to be full of family fun across the Triangle. You'll find lots of 2nd Saturdays events that delve into North Carolina's history, culture and cuisine and help you explore your family's genealogy. Enjoy kid-friendly crafts, mule-drawn wagon rides, face painting, an archaeological dig for special prizes, all part of 2nd Saturdays' fun.
Attend a free concert or a free festival featuring art and music, or shop consignment sales. Take the kids to see how things work at a special Engineer's Day at the Museum of Life and Science, in Durham. Or drop your teen off to celebrate at a back-to-school bash in Carrboro.
