Growing up on a dairy farm, my summers were consumed with farm work. Throwing hay bails was the number one farm activity. It had to be done or the cows wouldn't eat during the winter months. Even though my siblings and I thought this kind of manual labor had to be against child labor laws, it was probably one of my favorite things to do.
