Raleigh City Museum presents Children's Hour!

Head out to the Raleigh City Museum at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 14, to play Number One Hits Bingo! A fun twist on a family favorite, each player make his or her own Bingo card with song titles that were number one hits in the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s. Museum staff will give each player a blank Bingo card and a list of songs to cut and paste onto their card. As you create your own card, you will learn about the music that people listened to in the past.
Everyone wins! Bingo winners will receive a special prize, but no one will go home empty-handed. This program will last roughly one hour and afterwards visitors are encouraged to explore The [R]evolution of Media exhibit to learn more about the history of radio in Raleigh. Number One Hits Bingo admission fee is $3 per family. To reserve your place, call (919) 832-3775 ext. 14.
Check out the museum's newest exhibit, Portraits of Raleigh: Images of a City and Her People opening March 6, 2009. This special exhibit highlights the faces and places that make Raleigh such a unique and vibrant city.
The Raleigh City Museum is located in the Historic Briggs Building at 220 Fayetteville Street. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday, 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Admission to the museum and programs is free.
