There are many religiously-affiliated North Carolina schools with various degrees of commitment to the teachings of their founding affiliate churches. Most of these schools emphasize that you do not have to be a member of the founding faith community to join, though some of these schools have religious study or devotional-attendance requirements.

Often schools will discuss their religious ties in their mission statements. When researching a religiously-affiliated school, ask about the faith-related expectations to ensure a thorough understanding of the requirements of the institution. The approach they take may be very much like your own.
