See New York City's world-famous Rockettes when Radio City Christmas Spectacular makes its Triangle debut at the Durham Performing Arts Center Nov. 10-27.
This beloved theatrical production has delighted audiences in New York City for more than 75 years with nonstop musical and dance numbers, including "The Parade of the Wooden Soldiers" and "Let Christmas Shine." Children will especially enjoy the multiplying Santas, wooden soldiers coming to life, flying reindeer and dancing teddy bears.
The Rockettes, an American treasure, deliver eye-high kicks, precision dance moves and legendary glamour in "The 12 Days of Christmas" and "New York at Christmas." "The Living Nativity" features live camels, sheep and a donkey as performers re-enact the very first Christmas.
"We are really looking forward to our premiere engagement in Durham this holiday season," says Don Simpson of MSG Entertainment, which broadened the production's schedule in 1994 to encompass markets outside of New York City. "The Radio City Christmas Spectacular is a beloved holiday tradition for millions of families across the country. We realize that not everyone can come to New York for Christmas, so we're thrilled to bring Christmas to the Triangle."
Tickets for the show range in price from $19 to $118 and can be purchased by calling the Durham Performing Arts Center's box office at 919-680-2787 or online at www.dpacnc.com. Tickets are also available through all Ticketmaster outlets.
The Durham Performing Arts Center is at 123 Vivian St., Durham. For more information about the show, visit www.radiocitychristmas.com.
