Barn doors at 23 scenic and sustainable farms throughout the Triangle open for the seventh annual Eastern Triangle Farm Tour Sept. 15-16 from 1-5 p.m. Participating farms are in Durham, Wake, Chatham, Franklin, Granville and Person counties. Visitors can enjoy locally grown food, free workshops, hayrides, community gardens, livestock, honeybee hives and more.

Advance tickets cost $25 per vehicle or cycle group and $30 the weekend of the tour. You can also pay $10 per farm. The tour is self-guided and visitors can visit any farm in any order. Pets are not allowed.

This year's free workshops focus on raising chickens, edible landscaping and fall vegetable gardening. Purchase tickets and access interactive maps at carolinafarmstewards.org/etft.
