This Local Program Helps Parents Find the Best Child Care for Their Families
Finding—and choosing—the best child care in your area can be overwhelming, no matter if you're a first-time parent, a single parent, or a busy family of five. But this local program makes it simple to place your child in the care of someone you can trust.
Choosing the best child care for your child can be a difficult decision – there are so many things to consider.
Child Care Referral Central can help.
A program of Child Care Services Association, Child Care Referral Central gives parents personalized counseling, information, and tools to help them understand the complexities of child care and the importance of quality.
“I am a first-time mom and I had no clue about child care and what to look for when selecting child care for my child," one local parent says. "[Child Care Referral Central] was awesome with helping me understand star rating, teacher turn-overs, and affordable rates.”
The service then helps parents find high-quality programs that meet their families' unique needs. They help identify resources for financial assistance that might help ease the cost of child care as well.
"It’s truly hard finding child care during times like this," another first-time parent says, noting that the Child Care Referral team helped each step of the way in learning "how everything works" and eventually finding the right care for their child.
A working parent was able to contribute more hours and complete all their duties thanks to the child care provided through this service. "[Child Care Referral Central] saved my job," they explain.
