An ongoing support class every other Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring the baby, pack a lunch and join
other new moms to brainstorm tips on infant care and surviving motherhood. Discuss developmental milestones of
infants, offer suggestions for transitioning back to work and share resources for staying at home full-time. Targeted
to moms who are 3-12 weeks post delivery; however, any new mother is welcome. Classes are facilitated by Duke

Becoming a parent is a big step, so WakeMed offers a support program for new moms and dads. This is a series of
informal weekly group meetings for parents and babies. In addition to information and education, this program helps
parents connect and share these first few exciting Baby Steps together. New sessions begin every eight weeks. There
are two levels: Baby Steps 1 is geared to families with babies up to 3 months; Baby Steps 2 is for families with babies 3
