baby and more peace of mind, knowing that WakeMed has more than 45 years of experience in maternity care.
As Cary’s only family birthing center, WakeMed Women’s Pavilion & Birthplace – Cary offers the comforts of home along with the
latest in medical technology. Last year alone, 2,600 babies made their entrance at WakeMed Women’s Pavilion & Birthplace – Cary.
In addition, the nursery includes a Level III Special Care Nursery for babies needing extra-special care. And two surgical suites are located right inside the Pavilion for Caesarean deliveries.
Soon, construction will begin to add 10 new women’s care rooms, for a total of 36, including labor, delivery and recovery suites
and mother/baby and women’s care. Each private suite is beautifully appointed with a Jacuzzi tub, rocking chair, refrigerator and
TV/VCR. Wireless Internet is available for connecting personal laptops to the Internet. Each labor and delivery room is equipped
with a sleep chair for coaches.
Additional Comments: The Women’s Pavilion & Birthplace – Cary also includes a women’s diagnostic center and offers an
array of community resources, seminars and events at a new education and conference center.
