Museum Offers Girls in Science Afterschool Camp Scholarships
N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences
Do you have a sixth or seventh grade daughter interested in science and nature? Encourage her to apply for the fall Girls in Science afterschool program at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh. Participants explore outdoors, go behind the scenes at the museum and meet female scientists from a range of scientific disciplines. They also learn migratory patterns of many species, about changing seasons and how to build tools that help them better understand the world.
Get details on information, dates and applications at: http://naturalsciences.org/learn/girls-in-science-connect-nature.php . Applications are due 5 p.m., Sept. 18, 2015. The program costs $150, and scholarships are available. Contact Kathryn Fromson with questions at Kathryn.firstname.lastname@example.org or call 919-707-9951.
