As many Raleigh families with children can attest, the Holiday Express at Pullen Park is a December tradition worth planning for. And plan you must, if you want tickets to the 2017 festival. Mark your calendar for July 25, when tickets will be available for purchase online.
This year, Holiday Express has added another night of fun in celebration of its 10th anniversary. The event will take place 4-9 p.m. each night, Dec. 7-10 and Dec. 12-17. Families will enjoy holiday lights and displays, a train ride, an ice-covered sledding hill, carousel ride, crafts and a visit with Santa. Tickets are $11.29 per person (including service fees) and are required for all guests ages 2 and older. The event is presented by Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources and the Crabtree Rotary Club, with a portion of proceeds supporting Rotary charities.
Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m., Tuesday, July 25, and typically sell out quickly. Tickets will only be available online through a special Holiday Express page on Eventbrite, with no walk-in or phone sales. Families will receive a designated train departure time at time of purchase.
