The Poe Center’s popular Healthy Habits Camp, like most events right now, is going remote. Although the center is not able to host camp onsite due to concerns over Coronavirus, staff have found creative ways to bring camp to you. Enjoy the same great health-focused content, the same enthusiastic staff and engaging activities that make Healthy Habits Camp so unique and fun.
Rising 1st-5th grade students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunches at school may participate at no cost. This camp is exclusively offered to these qualifying children.
Camp takes place June 22-26. Pick up kits each day, 8:30-10 a.m. from the Poe Center for Health Education. Simply pull up to the Poe Center and wait for friendly staff in COVID-compliant gear to greet you with your daily camp kit. Then head home for a day of fun with activities, crafts, food, and links to engaging health lessons. Join Healthy Habits Camp staff online for fun, interactive play with your camp kits up to three times per day. (Optional)
Camp Kits include a souvenir Poe Center tote, makings for a healthy breakfast, lunch and snack, craft and activity supplies, Activity-of-the-Day instructions and access details for optional daily online live camp activities. Register online and direct any questions to Alaina Hart, Camp Coordinator.
At this time, the Poe Center is also accepting registrations for our in-person camp scheduled for July 13-17. Interested parties may register now. Any modifications to this July session will be announced by the end of June. Please email camp coordinator Alaina Hart with questions.
