If your kids are starting to say they're bored just a few weeks into summer, don't panic! This list of fun recurring events — from insect feeding times to carousel rides and storytime, and from ninja workouts and yoga to learning to fish — offers something for everyone.
No matter what day it is, the creepy crawlers at the museum’s Bayer Insectarium have to be fed. Join the insect keepers as they feed giant spiders, poison dart frogs and other predators their daily meal. Make a day of it by exploring the rest of the museum’s great science and nature exhibits. This program runs daily, 2:30-3:30 p.m., at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham. Free with museum admission ($18, adults; $13, children 3-12; free, under 3).
