The North Carolina Symphony introduced its first Education Partners Month in October in appreciation of its more than 100 schools and community collaborators across the state that join the symphony in prioritizing music education. This annual program highlights several of these partnerships and also creates opportunities for families, concertgoers and young people to enjoy music.
Events held in the Triangle in October included a student performance with Kidznotes, which serves underserved neighborhoods in Raleigh and Durham; an Instrument Zoo at Marbles Kids Museum, during which children were invited to try instruments used by the orchestra; a preschool program at Wake Forest Renaissance Centre; and other events.
