St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival – March 11
Erin go Braugh! Celebrate all things Irish at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in downtown Raleigh. The parade struts down Salisbury Street beginning at 10 a.m. and makes its way to City Plaza on Fayetteville Street, where Irish-themed dance troupes, food, clowns, and arts and crafts vendors await families. Kids can enjoy rides and a bounce house along “Leprechaun Lane.” raleighstpats.org.
Kite Festival – March 18
Watch your kite dance on the breeze at Bond Park’s Kite Festival, 1-3 p.m. Enjoy contests, prizes, flying tips from experts, music, concessions and more. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. Admission is free. The rain date is March 19. Bike Safety Workshop – March 25
The Raleigh Police Department hosts a bike workshop for ages 7 and older, 10 a.m.-noon, at the Walnut Creek Wetland Center in Raleigh. Kids can learn how to ride their bikes safely and have their skills tested. Admission is free. The Walnut Creek Wetland center is located at 950 Peterson St., Raleigh.
