Kids Learn Forensics at the Museum of Life and Science
The Museum of Life and Science in Durham needs help to solve a mystery during Forensics February, Feb. 5-March 2. Each week focuses on a different area of forensics, from fabric dye tests to insect investigations.
Use real crime scene investigator tools to dust for fingerprints, take a shoeprint, analyze animal hairs and more. Study the exoskeletons of bugs and meet live invertebrates. Add your clues to investigation boards and watch as the evidence builds by the end of the month.
The museum is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, noon-5 p.m. Admission is $14 for adults, $10 for ages 3-12 and free for ages 2 and younger. The Museum of Life and Science is located at 433 W. Murray Ave., Durham. To learn more, visit lifeandscience.org or call 919-220-5429.
