Vollmer Farm Blueberry Music Festival – June 24
Kick off the blueberry season at Vollmer Farm’s Blueberry Music Festival, 2-10 p.m. Enjoy blueberry-inspired food, watch pie-eating contests and listen to live music throughout the day. Explore the Back-40 Country Playground with an underground slide, giant jumping pillow, cow barrel train and goat walk. Cooking demonstrations, food trucks and vendors round out the fun. Repticon – July 1-2
See hundreds of lizards, snakes, iguanas and frogs at Repticon, an exotic animal show at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds Kerr Scott Building in Raleigh. The two-day event offers live amphibian and reptile presentations, vendors, door prizes and more. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday.
