This weekend you can go to a family camp out in Garner, immerse yourself a scene from the Harry Potter series at nearby library, watch the 73rd Annual Raleigh Christmas Parade, attend the first ever Racefest in Holly Springs and enjoy a concert on the Old Courthouse Lawn in Hillsborough.


K-5th Super Special – Harry Potter Yule Ball FREE

Celebrate the Harry Potter Yule Ball at the Cameron Village Regional Library. Enjoy crafts, dance moves and more on Nov. 17 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. The festivities are FREE and intended for kids in grades K-5, but preregistration is requested.

Wake Up at White Deer

Spend the night under the stars at White Deer Park this weekend, Nov. 17-18. You'll love the fun family activities the park staff has planned. New to camping? No problem! Flat campsites and nearby indoor restrooms make this the perfect setup for first-time campers. Families must provide their own camping gear. Dinner and breakfast are provided and preregistration is required. The fee per family is $24 for residents and $30 for nonresidents.

Raleigh Christmas Parade FREE

Did you know that Raleigh has the largest Christmas Parade between Washington D.C. and Atlanta? Bring the family and make some holiday memories at the 73rd Annual Christmas Parade on Nov. 18, starting at 9:40 a.m. Set up on the route early to get the best view of the parade. Holly Springs Racefest 2017 FREE

Explore downtown Holly Springs at this first ever festival celebrating the popular Holly Springs Half Marathon. Enjoy food trucks, a beer garden with local craft beer, kids play area, live bands, and art and business vendors from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Nov. 18 along Main Street in front of Town Hall

Sundays in Hillsborough Concert Series FREE

Catch the final concert in this series on the Old Courthouse Lawn in Hillsborough on Nov. 19 from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and hear 19 Miles from Davis perform a great variety of classic rock, folk, blues and country crossover. Your family can enjoy the Hillsborough Riverwalk, art galleries, historic sites, and local eateries and breweries.
