Fun Things to Do in the Triangle April 2-5
Play Dungeons and Dragons, learn about flowers, musical instruments and more

This week, play Dungeons and Dragons at the Southwest Regional Library in Durham, teach your toddler about flowers and colors at Blue Jay Point County Park in Raleigh, learn about musical instruments from a horn player in the North Carolina Symphony at the East Regional Library in Durham, and take a fun music class from Bach to Rock at the Eva Perry Regional Library in Apex.
Your teen can meet and play Dungeons and Dragons with other like-minded teens at the Southwest Regional Library in Durham April 2, 4-6 p.m.
Play the popular role-playing game and learn negotiation and strategic planning skills at the same time. Preregister here to ensure your spot.

You and your child ages 18 months-3 years can learn all about flowers and colors at this fun activity. You’ll hear the book “Planting a Rainbow” by Lois Elhert, investigate how to plant seeds and how to nurture their growth and development until the flowers grow. The fun will take place outdoors when weather permits from 10:30-11 a.m. on April 3 at Blue Jay Point County Park in Raleigh. The fee is $2 per child and preregistration is required.

Join North Carolina Symphony horn player Rachel Niketopoulos in a reading of a children’s book, followed by an interactive demonstration of the horn. Learn how the instruments of the orchestra make their sounds and hear examples of classical and popular music composed for horn. After the demonstration, everyone in the audience will have the opportunity to try their favorite instrument in the instrument zoo. This activity takes place at the East Regional Library in Durham on April 4, 10:30-11:30 a.m. and is gear toward kids ages 2-6. This FREE opportunity does require preregistration.

Bach to Rock FREE
Join staff from the popular Bach to Rock music school at the Eva Perry Regional Library in Apex on April 5, 10:30-11:30 a.m. for an exploration of the world of music. This activity is intended for preschoolers and their caregivers. Preregister for this FREE class as space is limited.
