Valentine’s Day is this week, and there are lots of fun things to do with your little valentines.

There are lots of fun things to do in the Triangle this Valentine’s Day. Celebrate with stories, crafts, music and snacks at the Walltown Park Recreation Center in Durham, hear a cute story about hedgehogs and make a craft at Historic Yates Mill Park in Raleigh, celebrate Valentine’s Day with science experiments at the Eva Perry Regional Library in Apex, or make themed crafts at Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh.
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with your 3- to 5-year-old Feb. 14, 10 a.m.- noon, at the Walltown Park Recreation Center in Durham. Enjoy stories, music, crafts and refreshments with your little valentine. The fee is $3 for residents and $8 for nonresidents; preregistration is required.

Horace and Hattie are hedgehogs and the best of friends. They do everything together. But there is one thing they can’t do: hug! Meet at the Andrews Classroom at Historic Yates Mill County Park on Feb. 14 from 11 a.m.- noon to hear this adorable story of friendship by Steve Wilson and Lucy Tapper. Then create some fun Valentine’s Day crafts to take home. This FREE activity is appropriate for all ages, and preregistration is encouraged.

At this popular program at the Eva Perry Regional Library in Apex, kids in grades K-2 and their caregivers read, create, discover and explore through books and activities. This week, you can celebrate Valentine’s Day in a really unique way — with science experiments! Preregister for this FREE program that takes place Feb. 14, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Any time between 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Marbles Kids Museum Feb. 14, kids can create their own Valentine’s Day gifts to surprise the special someones in their lives. Cupid-inspired activities take place in the Art Loft. This activity is FREE with museum admission, which is $7 for ages 1 and older, and FREE for members.
