Cary Students Compete in Culinary Competition
A Cary High School culinary team placed just outside the top third of all culinary teams from 43 states in the National ProStart Invitational.

Aspiring chefs and students interested in restaurant management from Cary High School took part in the National ProStart Invitational, a high-stakes culinary arts competition that took place April 29-May 1 in Dallas, Texas. The team took part in the national contest after winning first place in the North Carolina ProStart Invitational Culinary Competition March 14-15 in Durham.
The students collaborated with chefs from The Fearrington House Restaurant in Pittsboro and Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary on their meal, which included three courses. The Cary team placed just outside of the top third of all culinary teams from 43 states in the closely contested national competition.
